Hillside rises, breast of the Earth Mother -
Curving, mounding, home to an awareness.
Old one, dark one, shadowheart of darkness;
Sleeping, waiting, presence under greenwood.
Resting, drowsing - distant world of dreamthought;
Rumbling, humming - sings a song of slowtime.
Skyside sundrenched, home to feathered brightbirds
Inside Earthsblood's fountain all upwelling.
Earthsblood upflows, rising in the darkness;
Pulsing, warming, nourishing each lifespark
That murmurs unseeing in the earth's warm bosom
And stirs as the mind stirs, deep within the mountain.
